Traumatic Fractures in Spine

Cases

1

A 24-year-old male presented with severe neck pain following a road traffic accident. Radiological assessment revealed a C5 cervical vertebral fracture with associated spinal instability. The patient was evaluated for neurological involvement and cervical alignment following the traumatic injury. Due to the unstable nature of the fracture and the risk of neurological compromise, he underwent surgical stabilization of the cervical spine. Postoperatively, the patient experienced good pain relief with restoration of spinal stability and improvement in functional recovery.
